FAQ
SHIPPING & RETURNS
How much is shipping?
Shipping rates will vary based on your location and order size. You can see your shipping totals at check out.
COUNTRY | SHIPPING RATE | FREE SHIPPING THRESHOLD |
Austria | €2-4 | €40 |
Germany Czech Republic Poland Belgium Hungary Luxembourg Netherlands Slovakia Slovenia |
€2.50-10 | €60 |
All other EU countries | €2.50-11 | €75 |
Do you ship worldwide?
We currently ship exclusively within the EU. Consider joining our email list for updates, as we plan to expand our shipping capabilities in the future.
When will I get my order?
Orders are typically shipped within 3-4 business days. However, while I aim to always meet this standard, it cannot be guaranteed. In the case of a sudden influx of orders, fulfilment may take longer.
Additionally, if I am on holiday or otherwise unavailable, orders will not be fulfilled until I return. In this case, a notice will be posted on the homepage.
Once an order has been shipped, delivery time will vary based on delivery location, but is typically within 2-6 days for most EU countries.
Due to the continued prevalence COVID-19 and the subsequent limitations placed on many postal delivery services, delivery may take longer than expected at this time.
Will my order come with a tracking number or delivery insurance?
Most orders include tracking and insurance. If you order only stickers or small prints (up to A5) your shipping method might not include these features.
Will I have to pay import fees for my purchase?
International customers outside of the EU are responsible for any customs fees or import taxes that may be placed on their order. Unfortunately, because policies vary so greatly from country to country, I cannot tell you whether you will incur any fees, nor what those fees might be.
Will you mark my order as a gift so I can avoid customs fees/taxes?
No, this is illegal. Requests to do so will be ignored. While I understand that this may be an inconvenience, I will not risk losing my business by committing fraud. I appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Do you offer cancellations, returns, or exchanges?
You may return your purchase for a refund within 14 days of the package arrival, with the exception of certain items, as detailed further down in the FAQ. Return shipping MUST be paid by the customer.
Free return shipping may be granted in the case of incorrect or damaged orders, which is handled on a case by case basis.
Please keep in mind that while we take great care to make sure that our products are of high quality, most of our products are hand-made and/or hand-printed in a home studio and therefore may have slight variations from one product to the next, as well as minor aesthetic imperfections or flaws. Colors may also differ slightly from what you see on your screen. These do not count as errors or damage for the purposes of free return shipping and you will be required to pay shipping fees if you choose to make a return of such a product. If you believe your product has a major flaw or damage, please email us at: support@scaredycatstudio.com
At the moment we do not offer exchanges, though we hope to provide that option in the future.
Are there any items that cannot be returned?
Yes. Unless your order is damaged or incorrect, refunds will not be permitted for any customized, B-grade (Misfit Mystery Packs) or made-to-order goods.
Custom items with misspellings are only considered to be incorrect if I am responsible for the error, so please check your spelling carefully before submitting your order. If the spelling on the product matches the spelling on your order, that is not considered an incorrect order.
Digital downloads cannot be refunded after the item has been downloaded.

Everything Else: Epson SC-T3100X and Epson ET-7750
What cutting machine do you use?
Silhouette Cameo 4
Did you go to art school?
No, I did not. I have no formal art training outside of the standard art classes from K-12 schooling and one university graphic design class. I drew frequently as a hobby when I was younger and then picked it up again last year. I have learned a lot from fellow artists on Instagram and Youtube. Pinterest also has a plethora of resources, tutorials and references.
How did you find your art style?
I honestly wouldn’t say I have a consistent art style. I like to experiment and don’t really like the idea of boxing myself into one style forever.
However, if you really want to develop a unique and consistent style, the best advice I’ve seen on the subject is to look critically at all of the different artists that inspire you, pinpoint what you like most about each style and why, and then mash them together in different combinations until you find one you like. For example, maybe you like the way one artist does lineart, the color palette of another, and the way this other one draws facial features. So you make a piece that uses all three of those things together. And just keep doing that until you find a combination that feels right.
Good luck!
What are your biggest inspirations?
Stylistically, my art is largely inspired by animation. Some of my favorite animated works from the last decade or so include Over the Garden Wall, Hilda, Gravity Falls, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Steven Universe, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Dragon Prince, and Infinity Train. I absolutely adore the art and storytelling of these series. And of course, animated works from Disney, Pixar, and Studio Ghibli have been huge inspirations for me as well.
There are also a TON of artists on Twitter and Instagram that I absolutely adore and have helped me learn and grow as an artist through observing their work, honestly too many to name here. The internet is really a treasure trove of ridiculously talented artists. Check my following tab on Instagram if you want to find some of them!
Thematically, I’m inspired by all things magical, supernatural, or spooky. I’m OBSESSED with Halloween and all of its associated spookiness: witches, black cats, ghosts, skeletons, vampires, werewolves, full moons, etc. I particularly love vintage Halloween iconography and decor, such as blow mold decorations, folk art, or old Beistle designs.
Not all of these influences and inspirations have shown up explicitly in my work so far, but they're definitely bouncing around in my brain as I create things.
PRODUCT-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
Are your prints archival quality?
No, unfortunately I do not currently have the right equipment to make archival quality prints. If you are interested in an archival quality print of my work, send me an email with your contact information and the design you are interested in and I can put you on an interest list. If there is enough demand, I will look into the possibility of getting some archival prints made. Thanks for your understanding!
Are your stickers waterproof?
Yes, our stickers are waterproof. They are printed on water-resistant polypropelene film and are laminated for extra protection. However, while they are waterproof, they are not necessarily dishwasher safe. In order to ensure the longevity of your stickers, I recommend handwashing any items you place your stickers on.
Are your mugs dishwasher safe?
Yes! Our mugs are high-quality and dishwasher safe. However, they are not indestructible. Please treat them with care!
Harsh cleaning agents (such as extra-strength detergent) may cause the mug's coating to wear down and we don't recommend them. Super high temperatures (such as your dishwasher's "extra hot" or "pots and pans" settings) are also not recommended, as they may cause inks to fade. Stick to standard dishwashing cycles with standard or gentle detergents and your mug should last you many moons.
If you prefer to hand-wash your mug, please use a regular sponge. Abrasive scrubbers (such as steel wool) may result in scratching.
How are your mugs printed?
Our mugs are printed in-house using a dye-printing technique called sublimation. The design is printed onto special sublimation paper using sublimation inks and then transferred onto the mug using a heat press.
ETHICS & SUSTAINABILITY
What packaging do you use?
The majority of our packaging is created from recycled and/or recyclable material, depending on the capabilities of your local recycling facility. Many of our packaging materials are also FSC Certified, meaning they only use wood from responsibly-managed forests. We do, however, use sealable plastic bags for packaging some items, such as prints and badges. We are working to find a more eco-friendly alternative to use in the future.
To give you even more control over your environmental impact, we've added a few additional options to the check out page.
At check out, you will see the option to “reuse used packing materials for my order.” This means that we will attempt to reuse old packing material (craft paper, bubble wrap, etc.) leftover from other purchases (such as from Amazon or our various product suppliers) when packaging your order, if available. This is an effort to reduce waste and it is entirely optional. If left unselected, you will receive our standard branded packaging. Please note that in order to make sure your items have sufficient protection and make it to you safely, we do NOT reuse old boxes! The shipping box will always be new.
You will also see the option to “exclude all promotional materials and freebies.” This means we will not add any extra material such as thank you cards, business cards, discount code cards, or freebies (such as stickers) that we sometimes include with orders. If you have no interest in such items and would only throw them away, you can select this option and we will leave them out. Again, this is an effort to reduce waste and it is entirely optional. If left unselected, you will receive our standard promotional materials.
